Amy and Sai’s casual pre wedding session @ Macau

This was a casual pre wedding session in Macau. I just love doing Engagement and Pre wedding Photo sessions I am free to capture the couple and express them in my pictures as they are.

Amy and Sai are like all couples about to get married, they are so in love and in between shots they will joke and giggle and hold each other. It was really a joy for me to to just stand from afar, observe and shoot. Not much posing was required.

For this session,I just wanted to capture Amy and Sai as they were with the story just about them and at the same time I wanted to do something different so I thought of this old Ship yard in Coloane, Macau where the building which used to be the ship repair yard lay abandoned and in disrepair.

We did some shots around the ship yard then we headed to Cheok Van beach for the second part. It was an overcast day and the light was totally flat so a flash was a must to give my subjects a pop of light and let them stand out in the picture.

I shot with camera in one hand and flash in another, it takes some practice to shoot like that but it is almost a must if you shoot aloneI also put an orange gel on my flash to bring back the skin tone for both Amy and Sai.

I can continue talking about how I shoot but I think I will just let you view some of the pictures from the day and watch a happy Amy and Sai enjoy the JGP experience
