Khai and Niza had a traditional Malay wedding celebration in Singapore. There was the Nikah (Muslim marriage ceremony) followed by the feast with their family and friends.

It has been about a year since my last malay wedding shoot and this was quite enjoyable for me. The food spread was simply delicious and everyone were so nice to us especially her family. I really enjoyed the shoot and the food

Jake and Sarah recently got married at the Grand Harbourfront in Hong Kong, they exchanged their vows in a small and intimate ceremony witnessed by some of their close friends and family.

I only got to meet Jake and Sarah on the wedding day itself and I have to say that they are one of the nicest and most genuine people I have met, they were so nice that they made me and my wife who was helping me that day feel like we were one of the guests! I had to remind myself constantly that I was there to photograph the wedding !

I have to say that it was one of my most enjoyable wedding shoots and I would like to thank Jake and Sarah for having me shoot their wedding

Last year I shot a Malay wedding in the southern Malaysian state of Johor, just next to Singapore. The groom’s name is Fahmi and the bride’s Nonie.

They are gorgeous together and I enjoyed shooting them so much. Ever obliging and camera friendly, they are any photographer’s dream to work with.

There were many firsts for me at this wedding, it was the first time I covered a Malay wedding and it was also the first time I shot a wedding with more than one thousand guests. It was a challenge as in Malay weddings there wasn’t a fix time for guests to arrive and there wasn’t a time for the lunch to start. The guests are invited to a feast and they can arrive anytime from 11am to 4pm.

This was not easy to keep up with but I managed to do it and cover the event well, physically it was one of the thoughest shoots I have done but have to say I was happy with the results after looking at the photos and am now looking forward to my next Malay wedding shoot
