Sights of Macau – A visit to the newly reopened Macau Grand Prix museum

I recently visited the recently renovated and reopened Macau grand prix museum  . The museum is dedicated to the speed machines that power through the tricky and challenging Guia street circuit in November every year. The Macau Grand prix is one of the races on the formula 3 calendar. Besides the Formula 3 race, there are a host of supporting races held during the grand prix weekend. Some of the support races are the Macau motorcycle grand prix, the Guia race and the Macau GT cup.

Having re-opened recently and only to the local population in Macau, I took the opportunity to visit it with my family before it opens to the general public from the 1st of May 2021.

I think the museum has been renovated well and the displays have been aesthetically put together. They are pleasing to look at and the information artwork behind each display gives the museum a modern look and feel.

Many Formula 1 drivers start off in karting before moving to the lower formula series of races and often one of these races  is the Macau grand prix F3 race. Many of the greats including Aryton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have raced in Macau and the museum has dedicated a section just to the cars of these great drivers.

If you are into motor racing of any kind, this is a museum you should visit. Here are some photos I took on my visit:
